Sundays at Saint James
Sunday Mass
Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM in our historic Chapel, nestled on the hemlock-forested banks of the Little Delaware River halfway between Andes and Delhi. Our service runs till 11:15AM, and we proudly walk in the faithful liturgies of the Episcopal Church (the American branch of the Anglican Communion). We celebrate our masses in the spirit of Rite 2, including high holy days, in a relaxed and accessible style which honors those traditions.
After-Service Fellowship Feast
Each week at our ‘Fellowship Feast’ you’ll be treated to brunch and beverages amid a friendly, welcoming environment in our lovely Parish Hall. Held immediately after mass, if you don't have plans we'd enjoy seeing you. Some folks stay for hours while others grab a quick coffee or bite to go. Just know you’re welcome even if you can’t make it to service!
Children and Youth
Our vision is to see kids and families encounter Jesus, explore faith, enjoy the church, and be equipped for life. Our services are inter-generational, so even the youngest worshipers are able to participate!
Held in the Parish Hall Loft during Sunday Mass, our Kids' Sunday School is filled with lots of laughter, games, creative crafts, kid-friendly snacks, and fun, spirit-filled Bible teaching. This is best suited for ages 5-12, and parents and caregivers are welcome to visit too.
Our Sunday Nursery program is for younger children ages 12mo - 4 years. Also located in the Parish Hall, the focus is play, socialization, responsible care, and of course God's abundant love. Caregivers are welcome to drop off their child before mass and return afterwards.
Kids Sundays, held quarterly, are extremely popular & provide the opportunity for school aged children to experience and learn the rhythms of 'adult' mass. Kids can lead the scripture readings and prayers, and process as torchbearers with Fr. Paul and Will.
